Two kids multiplied by two teams plus one Recreation Ball Season equals all-day-ball-game-athons on Saturdays. We were lucky today, too. Both of their games were home. Tuesday, one will be home and the other will be out of town. Spending the whole day out at the ballfields leaves little time to scrapbook but it does provide the pictures to scrapbook. So I can't complain.
But all day at the ballfields just wears me out. The kids were baffled as to why I had to take a nap when we got home this evening. "You didn't play, you just sat and watched" they say. Which is followed up with "What can I do now?" from my 8 year old.
They just don't understand the emotional and physical strain that happens on the sidelines: the tension, the clapping, the worry, the crossing of the fingers when they step up to bat, the pacing, the clinching of the but cheeks as the ball hangs in the air along with the jumping up and down and hooting and hollering. Not to mention all the mental power it takes to will them around the bases and over home plate. Oh, but I just sit on the sidelines. LOL
After my nap and moving around a little bit I did finsh this layout. I started it yesterday and have rearranged it so many times last night and tonight that is it was paper there would be nothing left. I love click and drag. I love digital scrapbooking.
I used the National Scrapbook Day kit from Holly at The Digi Chic and the word art came from a Midnight Madness Chat crop at Digital Scrapbook Place.
